11/01/05 - STOP PRESS - Jack Hay lands 1000th. fish of season!

Jack Hay of Haddington continued his incredible season by recently landing his 1000th. fish of the season. The season ticket holder was suitably "delighted" and described this year as being generally "superb" - the really hard going was in August when the water temperatures were high. Jack, who recently retired, does put the hours in and can be found at the fishery at least 3 times a week. However, the secret of his success is that he keeps fishing even when the going gets tough. He still has three weeks left on his ticket so who knows what his final total will be! (see also below)

Jack Hay of Haddington recently landed his 100th. double figure fish at Markle Fisheries. The season ticket holder has achieved this incredible feat in only four seasons and has quickly gone on to increase this total! Congratulations to him, and here's to thenext hundred.
